Gold standard update

Gold Standard (a leading certification body) has announced that all projects must now align with the Paris Agreement, strengthening the integrity and impact of climate action across the sector.

Growgrounds implementation

We welcome these changes as they reinforce long-term alignment with international climate goals, underscoring the role and direction of companies like ours.

At GrowGrounds, we design projects with an awareness of the risks and uncertainties inherent in nature-based carbon work and to mitigate such we follow a precautionary principle, applying conservative baseline practices that ensure real additionality and credibility. For each new project area we undertake, we undergo a thorough local stakeholder consultation and common practice screening, so we can be confident that what we implement is truly additional and meaningful within its local context.

It’s important to keep sight of why we do the work we do at Growgrounds – to help secure coffee against the impacts of climate change while contributing to the global effort to stay below 1.5°C and fully align with the Paris Agreement.

Change like this raises the bar for everyone — and we’re ready to meet it.
